An antipasto pasta salad, but better: with crispy salami and a Calabrian chili parmesan vinaigrette.

For the calabrian chili vinaigrette
Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente according to package directions. Drain, toss with a drizzle of olive oil, and set aside to cool.
Add the diced salami to a cold skillet and place over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the fat has rendered and the salami is golden brown and crispy, about 8–10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and let cool.

In a jar or bowl, combine the olive oil, red wine vinegar, pepperoncini brine, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, grated garlic, Calabrian chili paste, oregano, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Shake or whisk until smooth and emulsified. Taste and adjust with additional mayonnaise, salt, or vinegar as needed.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, artichoke hearts, olives, pepperoncini, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, grated Parmesan, and basil.
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss until everything is evenly coated.
Fold in the crispy salami, reserving a small handful for garnish if desired.
Finish with shaved Parmesan, extra crispy salami, and freshly cracked black pepper.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for a few hours before serving. Like most pasta salads, this one gets even better as the flavors meld together.
